My Online Memories
One of my favourite little treats is a chcolate cake and a cute way I like to serve them up is as "butterfly's". These cakes are really quick and easy and taste great, if you're interested then keep reading.
What you will need: 125g of soft margerine 125g of caster sugar 150g of self raising flour 2 Large eggs 2 tbsp cocoa powder 25g of plain melted chocolate What you need to do: 1. First you need to preheat the oven to 180 degrees or gas mark 4 and line your cupcake tray with 12 cases 2. Mix together your Margerine, Sugar, Flour, Eggs and cocoa powder in a large bowl until the mixture goes smooth and then beat in your melted chocolate. 3. Spoon your mixture into your cases and pop them into your oven for around 15 minutes until they are well risen and firm to touch. Once they're done swap them onto a wire rack and leave them to cool. For the Icing: 100g of soft butter 225g of icing sugar plus a little extra for dusting What you need to do: 1. Beat your butter in a bowl until fluffy and gradually add the sugar. 2. Once cool cut the top off each cake and cut the tops in half. 3. Spread the icing onto each cake and push the cake pieces on to form wings. 4. Dust with icing to finish. I hope you Love these cupcakes as much as I do xx
