My Online Memories
So I haven't blogged on here for over a month, I guess I felt like I kind of needed a break and to be honest I'm really glad I did. Towards the end it was starting to feel more like a chore again, I was always worrying about what I was going to post next and desperately trying to plan things that I could write about. But here I am, ready to get back into the swing of things and what better way to start back up than with a snow post. For those of you who aren't British you may not know that on the first day of Spring Britain was graced with what we refer to as "The Beast from the East." Which was basically a shit tonne of snow. I love snow and here in the south we never ever get any, so you can bet I was straight out there playing in it. I got told to leave work early on Thursday because it was snowing so heavy my customer was worried I'd be stuck at her house all night, so I slipped and slid my way back home, dressed more appropriately and went straight back out there. My boyfriend and I walked around two of the parks near our flat and battled the super cold wind to get some really great pictures and to just make the most of it before it was gone. We had snow for about three more days and come monday it had all melted and we carried on with life as normal. And then this weekend, we had a "Mini Beast from the East." And sure enough, sunday we woke up to the ground being completely white over. This time Matt was not so keen on coming out with me so I ventured out alone. Without him slowing me down I made it all the way over to the Cathedral which looked soooooo beautiful in the snow, like Hogwarts at Christmas, and then up into some woods that I like to go walking through in the summer. It wasn't even that cold either, or at least I didn't think so until I got home and realised that I couldn't feel my fingers haha. Sadly by Monday morning it was virtually gone which meant no snow day for me, but at least I got to enjoy it one last time. Although I've heard that the snows coming back to celebrate Easter with us which I'm not so sure I like the sound of haha. Here's some of the many many pictures I took over both snow weekends, I hope you had a good time in the snow too!
Xx
