My Online Memories
For Mother's day back at the beginning of March, my boyfriend and I took his mother out shopping for the day. We introduced her to the wonder that is Homesense (My favourite shop of all time.) Stopped off quickly at B&M and then finished up with a cheeky trip to Dunelm (My second favourite shop.) She loved all of them and I have a feeling that we'll be going back to Homesense quite soon. I didn't buy a huge amount, mainly stuff we really needed like towels and a new bath mat but I thought it might be fun to share the little bits and bobs I picked up to make the flat look a little bit more colourful.
Now Homesense if known for it's unique and slightly weird things, which is excactly why we couldn't pass up these adorable little coat hooks. They look like little dog's bottoms and they are just too cute. They're not the biggest so I have a feeling they'll be used more for keys than coats but they were still very much a necessity. Very quickly after entering the store we found the Easter section and I fell completely in love with this little table center piece, a cute little birds nest. I've got it on my window sill as our dining table tends to be taken up with Matthew's modeling kits most of the time. Also on the window sill is this cute bunch of fake flowers in very Springy colours which we picked up from Dunelm, in a pretty vase we found at Tesco. Finally, also on the window sill is this Candle. This may actually be the nicest smelling candle I have ever bought. It's sweet but quite fruity at the same time and it really makes me think of Spring and Summer. In the Kitchen we have more fake flowers (I like fake flowers ok!) in an adorable jug. My kitchen window sill always looked so sad and empty that I thought these might brighten it up a little bit, I picked these up in B&M. Next is the whole reason I went to Dunelm, my untensil holder. Up until now I've been cramming all my spoons and spatulas in our draws and it's such a hassle. I saw this last year and knew I was going to have to go back for it eventually. And the final thing? You bet ya, it's more fake flowers! These are also from Homesense and I couldn't pass them up. I'm awful at keeping real flowers alive, and as we have a Cat who seems to think all my things look so much nicer on the floor, I decided that these would be a much safer and long lasting option, and they also make the bedroom Window Sill look much prettier. And that is everything I got on my mini Homeware splurge. Let me know what your favourite places to visit for Homeware are, and what you always have to buy when you see it. As you can probably tell ... mine is flowers haha. Xx
